SNECI Part Of Delegation In Morocco Headed By FIEV

Together with about 40 French Tier 1 and 2 suppliers SNECI has participated in the visit of a delegation headed by FIEV (French Vehicle Equipment Industries Federation) in Morocco from April 19 to 22.

During this visit, the delegation participated in presentations from Renault. Renault recently announced the signature of a contract with the Moroccan government, increasing sourcing from Morocco to 2 billion Euros. Additionally, presentations were held by PSA. PSA’s ambition is to achieve at least 60% local content upon opening its production site in 2019.

SNECI met also purchasing teams from Ford and Volkswagen who also would like to increase extensively their purchasing activities in Morocco.

The delegation also visited the free zones of Kenitra and Tangier, as well as the ultra-modern infrastructures of the port of Tangier-Med. This port serves as a logistics hotspot connecting Morocco, Europe, and the rest of the world for the automotive industry.

The delegation has also participated in the 3rd Automotive Supplier Exhibition in Tangier. This exhibition gathered numerous companies already present in Morocco. Some of these companies are already collaborating successfully with SNECI, such as the company PROMAGHREB.

At this occasion SNECI has presented to the delegation its service offer accompanying companies implementing their activities in Morocco. Several companies, currently settling in Morocco, where very interested in this presentation.
