MofCOM and SNECI meet and strengthen their collaboration
Ministry of Commerce of the People’s Republic of China (MofCOM) has among its various missions the authority to formulate policy on foreign trade and to negotiate bilateral and multilateral trade agreements. In the framework of the promotion of Chinese automotive suppliers in France, Miss GAO Yuanyuan, Assistant Secretary of economic and commercial services to the MofCOM, and Miss Isabelle Bailly, Chairman of the SNECI Group, have met in order to strengthen their collaboration.
It is undeniable that China has become a major actor in the automotive industry: the country now accounts for more than 25% of worldwide car production. Such a rapid development of the Chinese market is a great opportunity for both local and foreign OEMs. That is why SNECI has been established in Shanghai since 2011 in order to support international OEMs and Chinese suppliers in their business development.
SNECI China also helps local automotive suppliers to grow by discovering new outlets for their manufacturing services. For example, SNECI has recently assisted a European Tier 1 of Steering Systems to find new Tier 2 in China. Our Purchasing & Supply-chain teams screened 28 candidates and finally recommended several reliable suppliers to the client. As a result, the client managed to achieve a 27.5% cost saving.
As Chinese OEMs and Tier 1 suppliers are looking to expand their business abroad, especially in Europe, SNECI also offers assistance in Partnership and M&A.
Following this meeting, the MofCOM promotes SNECI as a service provider for Chinese suppliers that wish to enter the French market and has referenced SNECI on their website.
